A woman who hid the body of her baby in a shoebox has lost her bid for anonymity.
The woman concealed the new-born from her family under her bed in Keighley during 2013.
She was 19 when her baby was born and initially told police that the child was the result of rape by two men in an alleyway.
Prosecutors did not bring criminal charges because they could not confirm whether the baby was alive when it was born.
An inquest was opened at Bradford Coroner’s Court in August 2014. The woman applied for an anonymity order later that year but the claim was rejected.
A further appeal has been rejected by High Court judges.
An anonymity order remains in place but will lapse on 12 May unless the woman takes her appeal to the Supreme Court.
