Police Renew Appeal 21 Years After Fatal Shipley Arson Attack

Detectives have renewed their appeal for information on the 21st anniversary of an arson attack which killed 36-year-old father-of-three James Tomlin in Shipley.

Police have renewed an appeal for information 21 years after an arson attack killed a father-of-three in Shipley.

James Tomlin was 36 when he died from smoke inhalation after his home on Prospect Grove was deliberately set on fire in August 2005.

His pregnant fiancée and two sons were rescued by firefighters.

Detectives say changing friendships and loyalties may mean people can now come forward who couldn't at the time.

West Yorkshire Police says it remains committed to finding whoever was responsible.
