Four men have been jailed after conspiring to seriously injure a man in Leeds in a planned revenge attack that resulted in the fatal stabbing of one of their own group.
Four men have been jailed for conspiring to seriously harm a man in Leeds in an attack that ended with the death of one of their own group.
Dylan Earp, Jack Rider, Tray Plummer and Jack Stretton were sentenced after admitting conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm, with Earp, Rider and Plummer also pleading guilty to possessing offensive weapons.
The court heard the group travelled to the home of Alfie Milburn in Seacroft on 8 October last year in a stolen car with false number plates. Armed with knives and machetes and wearing face coverings, they intended to attack Milburn in retaliation for previous assaults.
Milburn fled before a confrontation took place out of sight of CCTV cameras, where Harry Abbott, a member of the group, was fatally stabbed.
Detective Superintendent Matt Holdsworth said the men had chosen to take the law into their own hands and would now have to live with the consequences of a decision that led to the death of their friend.
Alfie Milburn was previously convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to a 14-year extended custodial sentence in June.
