Bradford Council is to be officially granted White Ribbon accreditation status.
The accreditation will be issued at a ceremony today, 5 December, at City Hall.
Part of the work to achieve the status involves raising awareness of the campaign to engage men and boys in the goal of eradicating male violence towards women.
The council have already recruited 14 male White Ribbon Ambassadors from council officers and elected members and has supported the recruitment of new ambassadors at Bradford College.
Last month the council marked White Ribbon Day (25 November) by raising the White Ribbon flag in Centenary Square, tying ribbons and messages on to trees in City Park and the city centre and playing a presentation on the Big Screen.
There will be speeches and presentations as well as 11-year-old Hashmath Ali Ahmed who will read his own White Ribbon poem at the event.
