Police have released an e-fit image of a man they wish to speak to in relation to a robbery in Bolton.
Shortly after 2.30pm on Tuesday 31 May 2016 three men approached the door of a property in the Briksdal Way area of Lostock posing as delivery drivers.
A 19-year-old man, who was alone, opened the door and the three men forced their way in wearing balaclavas and carrying hammers.
The three men tied the victim up with cable ties and duct tape and covered his mouth and eyes while they searched the house.
The offenders stole cash and fled the scene in a dark coloured Mazda.
Detective Sergeant Robert Parker, of GMP’s Bolton borough, said: “This was a horrific attack against a young man who was home alone that has left him completely traumatised.
“We believe that this is an isolated incident that poses no threat to the wider community and have increased patrols in the area.
“This shocking attack happened in the middle of the day and we are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and seen these men or the dark Mazda to come forward and help us find the people responsible.
“We would also urge anyone who recognises the man in the e-fit to contact police.”
Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
