Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was injured in a stabbing incident in Huddersfield.
Huddersfield CID would like to speak to anyone who saw or who has information about the incident in or around the Greenhead Park area of Huddersfield on Friday May 13.
It took place between 5.30pm and 6pm after the victim, a 15-year-old male, was approached from behind by a man who stabbed him in his back and lower left arm, with a sharp object.
The suspect, who was wearing a hooded top with the hood up, made off.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged.
DC Simon Thomas of Huddersfield CID, said: "Enquiries are ongoing into this incident and possible motives for the attack which, fortunately, did not result in the victim being seriously hurt.
"Anyone who saw the attack, which took place near the Skate Park on New Hey Road, or who has information should contact myself at Huddersfield CID on 101.
"Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111."
