A man who broke into a care home in Leigh and sexually assaulted a woman in her 90s has been jailed.
Jake Morris was jailed at Bolton Crown Court after pleading guilty to sexual assault, section 47 assault and three counts of burglary.
On 28 January 2017 two members of staff from the care home entered the room of an elderly woman and noticed the window was wide open and the seal was broken.
On turning on the lights, they noticed the 96-year-old, who suffers from dementia, had an injury to her lower jaw and blood in her mouth.
Following a fortnight of enquiries, forensic results identified 24-year-old Morris as the offender.
He has been jailed for six years and four months.
