A drama company will be giving pupils in Bradford schools an educational performance on road safety starting next week.
Bradford Council's Road Safety Team has commissioned ‘The Riot Act’ to deliver their Pedestrian Safety Education Programme 'Deadly Distractions’ to year seven and year eight pupils.
The performance will raise awareness of the risks young people face as a pedestrian, focussing on the danger of distractions and thrill-seeking behaviour and will help students to combat peer pressure.
Coun Alex Ross-Shaw, Bradford Council's Executive Member for Housing, Planning and Transport, said: "Raising awareness and educating young people through a thought-provoking drama performance will hopefully help them think about their behaviour as pedestrians and improve their attitude to road safety."
