Members of the public in Salford have objected plans to build a housing development on the site of a former sewage works.
Bellway Homes and United Utilities are aiming to develop 40 acres of the old Swinton Wastewater Treatment Works and the surrounding land with 241 new homes.
Local residents have opposed the plans at two public meetings, claiming severe traffic issues would be caused and a colony of bats may be lost.
Over 200 objections have been lodged over the development at the town hall.
