A 46-year-old man has been sentenced to 17 years for attempted murder.
The incident that took place last year in July saw, Richard Emblow, of Bradford Road, Bingley, chasing his victim, stabbing him three times even after he was hit by a car.
Scott Hacking was knifed in the thigh and chest after Emblow threatened him for taking money off his former partner for drugs.
Judge Hatton said: “He sustained devastating injuries to his lower limbs. Unmoved by that, the defendant set about him with the knife as he lay severely injured and largely helpless, and he thrust the knife several times at the prostrate Mr Hacking,”
Emblow pleaded guilty to wounding with intent to cause bodily harm and was sentenced in his absence, after he chose to stay in the court cells for verdict.
