Bradford Council’s Markets Service is launching a digital and social media campaign to encourage people to use their local markets.
Officers from the service have been working with experts from the University of Bradford’s Digital Media Working Academy to design and deliver the campaign which features market traders from the district in its artwork and videos.
The ‘Shop for Victory’ Facebook campaign uses World War Two Ministry of Information style images with photos of Bradford market traders with the slogans such as ‘Your Markets Need You’ and ‘Shop for Victory.’
The videos also show local traders telling people about the advantages and benefits of shopping at local markets and sharing their stories of how they became a market trader.
