A private hire driver, who will be sentenced in December has been warned he faces a probable custodial sentence after he pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Bradford Crown Court was told that pedestrian, Sophie Rajput, who had to be airlifted to hospital, had suffered very extensive and long-lasting injuries in the accident in Hall Ings Bradford on March 14 this year.
Tariq Karamat, 46, of Nottingham Street, Thornbury, Bradford, pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by driving dangerously.
Sentencing was adjourned until December 1 and Karamat was granted conditional bail. The Judge also imposed an interim driving disqualification.
