Police investigating the verbal abuse of the fire service in Tameside have made an arrest.
At around 3.15pm on Wednesday 15 November, police were called to reports of a fire on Hawthorn Street in Audenshaw.
Officers attended and found a fire which the fire service were attempting to put out.
As they were extinguishing the fire, the fire crew were met with abuse from a man.
He then attempted to relight the fire they had been putting out, and continued making threats toward the fire service.
A 37-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of obstructing emergency workers.
