A 16-year-old boy was attacked and robbed by a gang in Huddersfield.
Police are now appealing for witnesses following the incident in Huddersfield town centre on Friday, 6 May.
The victim was walking along Threadneedle Street at around 2.50pm, when he was approached by a group of four males who demanded he hand over money.
The victim managed to run away in the direction of the bus station, but was stopped further along the road by a second group, consisting of around eight people.
One of the suspects in the group grabbed money out of the boy’s pocket before attempting to take his rucksack. When the victim resisted, the suspect began to punch the victim and knocked him to the ground.
The suspect and the other members of the group then made off from the scene.
The suspects have been described by police as a group of around 12 Asian males who were wearing tracksuits.
Police are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch.
