Police are appealing for information after a man was shot in Salford.
Police were called at 11.30pm on Saturday 21st of January 2017 to Cumbrae Gardens, Weaste, to reports that a man had been shot.
The victim, a 19-year-old man, was shot in the foot before the offender fled the scene.
The victim went to a nearby house to call for help and was taken to hospital for treatment. He has now been discharged and is recovering at home from his injuries.
Officers have launched an investigation and two guns have been recovered following a search of the area.
Superintendent Chris Allsop, of GMP’s Salford Borough, said: “A comprehensive investigation has been launched and the discovery of two guns represents a positive development, as these potentially lethal weapons are no longer on the streets of Salford.”
