Cancer patients and their family members, friends and carers are being invited to Let’s Talk about Cancer 2019, a free event hosted by Yorkshire Cancer Research.
Held on Thursday 14 March 2019 at Magna Science Centre, Rotherham, Let’s Talk about Cancer has been created by, and for, people affected by cancer.
The event will include talks by leading experts on how to live well with, and after cancer, and provide practical sessions covering activities such as Pilates and techniques like mindfulness.
Those attending will also have the opportunity to talk to people going through a similar experience, chat to providers of helpful services including other charities, financial services, fitness providers and NHS services, and find advice on where to go for further support.
Charlie Jackett, Events and Conferences Manager at Yorkshire Cancer Research, said: “’Let’s Talk about Cancer’ is all about bringing the Yorkshire cancer community together to talk and learn about the issues that matter most to patients and those closest to them.
“By sharing knowledge and experiences, we can ensure people in Yorkshire have the very best chance of leading an active, healthy life after cancer. We hope patients, carers, family and friends take the opportunity to join us at this unique event.
