A new study has uncovered how many Britons will be shunning holidays for work.
The research, carried out by Expedia, claims that almost half (46 per cent) of workers in Yorkshire and Humberside admit they’ll be on email over the Christmas break, and a quarter (23 per cent) even plan to log in on Christmas Day.
It’s not just a problem for the festive period. The survey found nearly a third of people in the UK (32 per cent) have gone as far as cancelling a holiday abroad due to changing work commitments, while 17 per cent admit to checking their email or voicemail at least once a day whilst on annual leave.
