A mother and grandmother from Leeds have been jailed over the death of a teenage boy who was found in an emaciated state at home.
Jordan Burling, 18, went into cardiac arrest at a property in the Farnley area in 2016 and died weighing less than six stone (37kg). He passed away as a result of malnutrition, immobility and infected bed-sores.
Mother Dawn Cranston, 45, and grandmother Denise Cranston, 70, were both convicted of manslaughter.
Jordan’s sister, Abigail Burling, 25, lived nearby and often visited the home. She was found guilty of causing or allowing the death of a vulnerable person.
