Five nurseries across Bradford will be able to offer more childcare spaces after receiving new funding.
Half a million pounds has been granted to the nurseries through the Government’s Early Years Capital Fund and aims to give working families 30 hours of free childcare.
The nurseries receiving the windfall are Handprints in Silsden, Nightingales Day Nursery at Airedale Hospital, Ashfield House in Eccleshill, Margaret McMillan Children’s Centre and Acorns in Eldwick, which will all benefit from extensions or refurbishments.
The cash will see 200 extra childcare places open up in the district.
