Police Tasered a man after he smashed the window of a fire engine with a hammer.
The fire service was called out to a man trapped in a vehicle in the Ordsall area of Salford on Monday (1 October) morning.
Firefighters freed a man from the vehicle on Jennings Avenue, who then “lashed out” and threatened his rescuers with a knife.
The man damaged the windshield of the fire engine and locker panels on the side of the vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
