Officers have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed in Levenshulme.
Shortly before 6.55pm on Monday 28 January police were called to Kingsway to reports that a man had been stabbed.
Officers attended and a 22-year-old man was taken to hospital. His injuries are described as serious but they are not believed to be life threatening.
There have been no arrests and officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Tim Berry, of GMP’s City of Manchester borough, said: “The victim is still recovering in hospital from the serious injuries he sustained in this attack, but thankfully he is in a stable condition.
“We are committed to tackling knife crime in our communities and we will do everything that we possibly can to find the person responsible for this attack.
“While this was a terrifying experience for the victim, we believe this was an isolated incident and there is not believed to be any threat to the wider public.
