A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old at Brent Civic Centre in Wembley.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a teenager in Wembley.

Police were called to reports of a stabbing on Engineers Way, at Brent Civic Centre, at around 2.30pm on Tuesday 25 August.

Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and found a teenage boy with stab wounds.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, he died at the scene.

Formal identification had yet to take place at the time of the latest update, but police have named the victim as 17-year-old David Wynter.

His family has been informed and is being supported by specially trained officers.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday and was subsequently charged with murder on Thursday 27 August.

He appeared at Willesden Magistrates' Court and is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday 28 August.

Police enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident remain ongoing.

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is being asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference 4032/25AUG. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers.

Legal proceedings are now active, and the charge is an allegation until proven in court.
