A 24-year-old man has been sentenced to five years and three months after he threatened police officers with a shot-gun.
Yesterday the father-of-two pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm with intent to cause violence and dangerous driving.
The incident that took place in August last year, on Allerton Road, Bradford, saw Owen Parker pointing a firearm out of his car window towards two police officers during a car chase.
Parker was arrested after his fingerprints were found on the weapon, which had been recovered by police officers in a dustbin on Oak Lane, Manningham.
Parker had bought the firearm to protect his family after a gun was fired outside his home, Bradford Crown Court heard.
He was sentenced to five years and three months in prison and banned from driving for 18 months.
