A man has been jailed for what has been called a “vicious and sustained” attack on a pensioner in Bradford.
Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday, 2 January, how Robert Braithwaite punched and kicked 75-year-old James Glen after entering the victim’s property in Holme Wood in the middle of the night in June.
Mr Glen suffered three fractured ribs, internal bleeding to the chest and a bleed on the brain. The widower spent 10 days in a high dependency unit in hospital.
Braithwaite, 30, was jailed for 10 years after he pleaded guilty to causing Mr Glen grievous bodily harm with intent.
His accomplice, Benjamin Sanderson, 36, was jailed for three years and two months.
