A 27 year old man who faked mental illness to get into a Bradford hospital and then subjected staff and a patient to violent assaults before spitting at and exposing himself to Police officers has been jailed.
Mudasser Nadeem, pleaded guilty to six assault charges, exposure, and criminal damage and has now been sentenced to 21 months in jail.
Bradford Crown Court heard that Nadeem, of Victor Terrace, Bradford, was taken to Lynfield Mount the day after he was arrested for his mental health to be assessed.
Nadeem became violent after staff denied him access to his mobile phone, and went on to attack four staff members and a patient before barricading himself in a room where he committed lewd acts in front of staff and officers.
The court heard that medical and psychiatric reports had found no aspect of mental illness and Nadeem had previously served an eight-year sentence for robbery and been re-called on licence three times.
He was sentenced to 21 months in jail.
