A man has been charged after an 89-year-old man was killed in a traffic collision in Greater Manchester.
Mudasser Rasool, 34, of Stockport Road, Levenshulme, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and was remanded into custody at Manchester Magistrates’ Court.
He was bailed to appear before Manchester Crown Court on 28 August.
A 17-year-old boy who was arrested has been released without charge.
At around 1.15am on Thursday 27 July, police were called to Errwood Road in Heaton Moor after a collision involving an Audi RS4 and a Vauxhall Astra.
An 89-year-old man, who has been formally identified as Frederick Petts, was travelling in the Vauxhall Astra and sadly died in hospital.
