Bradford Drug Dealer Jailed for Running Class A Drugs Line into Leeds

A Bradford drug dealer who ran a drugs line supplying crack cocaine and heroin into the Pudsey area of Leeds has been jailed for four and a half years.

A Bradford drug dealer who ran a county lines operation supplying Class A drugs into Leeds has been jailed for four and a half years.

Sadhiul Haque, 28, was linked by detectives from West Yorkshire Police's Operation Phoenix team to an active drugs line which sent thousands of bulk text messages advertising crack cocaine and heroin for sale, mainly in the Pudsey area.

Officers moved in on Haque's home on Nottingham Street, Bradford, in February this year.

Two phones linked to the drugs line were seized from the property, along with £1,520 in cash.

During the investigation, officers searched Haque's VW Golf and discovered a key to a Vauxhall Corsa which was also parked outside.

A search of the Corsa uncovered quantities of crack cocaine and heroin with a combined value of £2,360, much of which had already been divided into individual deals.

Forensic examination subsequently found Haque's DNA on the packages.

He was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, as well as possession with intent to supply both drugs.

Haque pleaded guilty to all the offences and was sentenced at Bradford Crown Court on Wednesday 26 August to four and a half years in prison.

Detective Inspector Helen Chapman, who leads Operation Phoenix, said the investigation had built a detailed evidential picture linking Haque to the drugs line.

She said Class A drug dealing fuels crime and violence in communities and added that Operation Phoenix would continue targeting individuals and organised crime groups involved in county lines activity.
