A man has been arrested by detectives investigating an attempted robbery at a bank in Leeds.
The incident occurred at about 2.50pm on Saturday, November 23 at the Yorkshire Bank branch, in Austhorpe Road, Crossgates.
A 21-year-old man passed a note to a member of staff making demands for money but the panic alarm was activated and he left empty handed a short time later.
He was chased by a member of the public who lost sight of him in Back Austhorpe Road.
Following a public appeal in relation to the attempted robbery at the Yorkshire Bank branch, the suspect was tracked down and arrested yesterday.
He was later released under investigation pending further enquiries.
