A man has been arrested after an attempted rape in Stalybridge.
At around 6.40pm on Monday 22 August 2016, a woman was walking through Stalybridge Country Park, Besom Lane, Millbrook, with her child when she was approached by a man.

A 17-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted rape and remains in custody for questioning.
Detective Inspector Mike Gladwin, of GMP’s Sexual Offences Unit, said: “This was a shocking attack on a woman who was out walking and has left her shaken and terrified.
“It happened in a popular country park at a peak time when people would have been around and must have seen something.
“We have arrested one man but our investigation continues. We would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious to contact police.”
