Bradford West MP Naz Shah's suspension from the Labour Party has been lifted by the party’s National Executive Committee.
Ms Shah had had the parliamentary whip removed back in April over comments about Israel she had made online prior to becoming an MP, the outrage caused by the comments led to her standing up in Parliament to state publicly that she "regretted" the posts.
Ms Shah has been given a formal warning, told to apologise for bringing the party into disrepute and warned that if there was another incident she would be expelled.
Following her reinstatement the local MP commented on social media: “Many thanks for all the lovely messages following my reinstatement to the Labour Party earlier today. I will be putting out a fuller statement next week upon my return to Parliament.”
