A man who was killed in a Leeds prison is believed to have been serving a life sentence for murdering his baby daughter.
22-year-old Liam Deane, from Wakefield, was an inmate of Armley Jail after being convicted over the death of a two-day-old girl.
He was found dead in his cell on Sunday, 12 November.
John Westland, 28, appeared at Leeds Magistrates' Court charged with Deane's murder and was remanded in custody.
He is due to appear at Leeds Crown Court on Thursday, 16 November.
