A new “Leeds 400” challenge is encouraging people across the city to get active and collectively travel 400 miles in celebration of Leeds’ history.
A new city-wide challenge is encouraging people in Leeds to get moving while celebrating a key milestone in the city’s history.
The “Leeds 400” initiative invites residents to collectively travel 400 miles through activities such as walking, running and cycling. The challenge is designed to promote healthier lifestyles while bringing communities together.
Organisers say the campaign is open to people of all ages and abilities, with individuals, schools and community groups all encouraged to take part. The aim is to make physical activity accessible, enjoyable and inclusive for everyone.
The initiative also forms part of wider celebrations highlighting Leeds’ heritage, while encouraging people to explore their local areas and stay active.
Leeds City Council says the challenge offers a simple and engaging way for residents to improve their wellbeing, connect with others and take pride in their city.
