Parents and young people are being advised to keep a close watch on the proposed industrial action, which is set to affect services run by Keighley Bus Company, and to make alternative arrangements in case their school run is affected.
Drivers intend to take strike action over pay on Monday 7 January and Tuesday 15 January, causing disruption to pupils returning to school after the Christmas and New Year break.
As well as regular bus services, many primary and secondary school services are currently under threat of cancellation or reduced frequency on these dates.
While Keighley Bus Company intend to run as many services as they can, the council and West Yorkshire Metro say parents and young people should keep up to date with developments by visiting the relevant pages on the Metro and Keighley Bus Company websites.
