Hundreds of sites across Yorkshire and the Humber are preparing to share their culture and reveal their hidden histories for Heritage Open Days 2017.
This year around 640 sites will be taking part with over 100 new events listed. Admission is free to every event – including 10 National Trust Properties.
Additional funding from players of People’s Postcode Lottery has enabled a new focus on arts-themed events as well as LGBTQ history and natural heritage – in parks, green spaces, lakes and beaches.
The open days last from 7-10 September. For information about events in your area visit the Heritage Open Days website: www.heritageopendays.org.uk
