West Yorkshire Police say the charges relate to offences involving a child during that period.
The man has been charged following an investigation by specialist safeguarding officers.
He is due to appear before Leeds Magistrates Court.
Police say enquiries remain ongoing and are urging anyone with further information relating to the investigation to come forward.
