A man has been given a six-year prison sentence after large amounts of heroin and cocaine were found in a laundry basket at his home.
In April this year, police raided the home of 28-year-old, Shahid Khan on Essex Street, Halifax and found a carrier bag containing high purity blocks of the two Class A drugs.
Bradford Crown Court heard how the heroin and cocaine seized weighed just over three kilos and had a street value of around £130,000.
Khan told Police Officers that everything in the carrier bag belonged to another person who he refused to name.
However, he pleaded guilty to possessing heroin and cocaine with intent to supply and a further charge of possessing criminal property.
Judge Hatton recognised Khan's plea of guilt and gave him a reduced sentence of six years.
