Police are hunting a gang of thieves who ripped an ATM from a Buryhospital before stealing thousands of pounds.
5 men targeted Fairfield General Hospital in Bury in the early hours of Tuesday morning, forcing their way through the main entrance at around 2.40am.
They used a car to “forcefully remove” a cash machine, damaging a vending machine in the process.
It is understood that no staff were injured during the raid.
A spokesman for GMP confirmed they were called to the hospital at 2.40am to reports of a theft.
They said: “Five unknown offenders entered the hospital and stole a cash machine containing a significant amount of cash."
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101.”
