Four men have appeared at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court in connection with an incident of violent disorder left a 21-year-old man critically ill in hospital.
The court was told that Mohammed Wariss suffered multiple fractures and lacerations to his face and a sustained traumatic brain injury in an incident in Hollybank Gardens, Great Horton, Bradford, on Monday October 3rd.
He is currently in a medically induced coma on a ventilator in Leeds General Infirmary.
37 year old Ajaz Saddiq, of Hollybank Gardens; his 35 year old brother Shahid Saddiq, of Waverley Road, Great Horton; and their relative, 38-year-old Nazim Hussain, of Fairbank Road, Girlington are all charged with wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and violent disorder.
A fourth man, Tariq Adalat, 34, of Northside Terrace, Lidget Green, is charged with violent disorder in relation to the same incident, driving while disqualified, and without insurance.
All four defendants were remanded into custody to next appear at Bradford Crown Court on November 3.
