A fly-tipping campaign is aiming to clean up Keighley.
On 10 and 11 July, officers from Bradford Council’s Keighley Area Co-ordinators Office, ward councillors, local volunteers and representatives from Holycroft Primary School, the Bangladeshi Community Association and Keighley Town Council will be coming together to take part in the Knowle Park Street Surgery Programme.
Starting at 10am on 10 July, partners and local volunteers will meet at the Bangladeshi Community Centre to undertake a mail drop, informing residents how to deal with and report fly-tipping, as part of the campaign tackling issues in the area.
Coun Sarah Ferriby, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Healthy People and Places, said: “Recently fly-tipping has been on the increase and residents have expressed concerns of how this impacts on the look and perception of the area. The clear message of the campaign is for everyone to say a ‘BIG NO’ to fly-tipping.
“By working together we can make sure our areas are safe, clean and a good place to live.”
