The Family Learning Festival is set to return to Bradford during the October half term, bringing families together to be creative.
Free events include spooky goings on in historical machinery (Bradford Industrial Museum), creating friendly Frankenstein’s monsters (Impressions Gallery), making lanterns for a parade (Cartwright Hall), CBBC’s The Dengineers (National Science and Media Museum), and a special 25th birthday celebration (Kala Sangam), all taking place from 20-28 October.
Other attractions include puppet-making (Bradford Libraries – various), live shows and story-telling sessions (Keighley and Bingley Libraries), writing messages for peace (The Peace Museum), construction and crafty creations (City Library), designing a future vision of Braford (Artworks Creative Communities) and the chance to win a basket full of books in the ‘build your own library’ competition.
Cllr Imran Khan, portfolio holder for education, employment and skills, said: “The Family Learning Festival once again shows what Bradford can do when organisations across our district join forces to create this special festival for families. There are some brilliant events that families can come and join in with, learn from, and have fun!”
