A group of Bradford school children who sent questions to David Hockney will get the chance to watch a film of his answers when they visit a gallery celebrating the artist’s work.
The pupils wrote to the famous Bradford-born artist to see if they could get him to support the idea of a gallery after they had visited Cartwright Hall to see Hockney’s famous Le Plongeur pool picture.
The pupils’ questions for Hockney were taken to the artist in Los Angeles by Cartwright Hall’s Fine Arts Curator who filmed his responses.
Now the same children, who are in year four, will get to watch his replies when they visit the gallery today, 8 December, for the first time.
