A Bradford man has gone on trial after stealing a judge’s car.
A jury at Bradford Crown Court heard how a tribunal judge was car-jacked by two men, who stole an Audi, an iPad and a £3,500 Rolex watch.
A tracking app on the judge’s iPad helped police trace the movements of the criminals, leading them to the discovery of the tablet in a stolen Mini, which had been fitted with false licence plates.
A finger print check on the false plates connected the defendant, 28-year-old Amir Khan, to the crime. A later search of his property unearthed the keys of both the stolen Mini and the judge’s Audi.
Mr Khan has denied charges of burglary and robbery.
