A 25 year old Bradford man has been locked up for five years and four months after Police found drugs in his sister’s and partner’s homes where young children resided.
Waqas Ali of Rufus Street, Canterbury, Bradford pleaded guilty to two charges of possessing class A drugs, heroin and crack cocaine, with an intent to supply.
His 25 year old partner, Naomi Maragh pleaded guilty to a single charge of possessing heroin with an intent to supply after officers found drugs and drug paraphernalia on May 22nd last year.
Ali was subsequently arrested and whilst on bail officers discovered heroin and crack cocaine at his sister’s home; 27 year old Saima Ali, of Floyd Street, Canterbury, Bradford, on January 20.
Maragh was sentenced to two years in prison, suspended for two years, with a 15-day rehabilitation activity requirement and 150 hours of unpaid work.
Saima Ali was cleared of possessing class A drugs with the intent to supply, after no evidence was offered by the prosecution.
