Bradford Council’s Executive will be asked to help create hundreds of extra places at two schools, at its meeting next week.
Councillors will be asked to approve the publishing of statutory proposals to increase the 11-to-16 pupil admission number at Carlton Bolling College from 240 to 300 and to close the school’s sixth form. The changes would come into effect from September next year.
The executive will also be asked to publish statutory proposals for Low Ash Primary School, in Shipley, to increase its pupil admission number from 60 to 90. This would mean the school’s capacity would increase from 420 to 630 from September 2019.
