Bradford Cathedral is joining a national art and education programme exploring heritage, climate change and global connections, with a new student-led exhibition opening later this month.
Bradford Cathedral is joining a national learning and arts initiative designed to inspire young people to explore heritage, climate change and global friendships.
From Thursday the 22nd of January, the Cathedral will host an exhibition of ten Globe sculptures created by pupils from local schools, including Immanuel College and Bradford Forster Academy, as part of The World Reimagined National Learning Programme.
The project encourages students to explore their family histories through intergenerational conversations, before connecting with young people in Africa and the Caribbean to learn about the impact of climate change on communities across the Atlantic.
The exhibition, titled Triangle of Unity, runs until the 26th of February and forms part of a wider programme that will see Globe displays appear in cathedrals across the UK.
Bradford Cathedral will also host a free family event in February, celebrating creativity, culture and community connection.
