Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Leeds city centre.
Officers were called to Vicar Lane on Friday evening after reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. Emergency services attended the scene and the injured person was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A road closure was put in place to allow for scene examination, but has since been lifted.
Detectives from Leeds District CID are continuing enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have relevant dashcam or mobile phone footage, to contact officers.
