Police are appealing after a care home in Leigh, Manchester, was broken into and a 97-year-old woman was attacked and robbed.
Shortly after 7am on Saturday the 28th of January 2017 police were called to a care home on Battersby Street in Leigh to reports that carers had discovered that three rooms had been broken into during the night and a woman with dementia had been assaulted.
The woman was treated for minor injuries; however her injuries could have been much worse.
It is believed that the break-in happened sometime between 4am and 7am.
Police have now released an image of the man they believe is responsible for the robbery, and are hoping the public can help identify him.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police via 101.
