Four youths have been captured on CCTV launching fireworks into the street in an incident on Wednesday evening.
In the build up to bonfire night, Bradford councillors passed two motions with a view to authorities taking a tougher stance on anti-social firework use.
However, despite the motions being passed earlier in the month, dangerous firework use continues, with Wednesday evening’s incident seeing four youths, with some described as being as young as 10, launching roman candles into the street and at shops.
The incident occurred on Oak Lane, Manningham, Bradford, at around 7pm, and has left local property owners concerned for people’s safety.
Regarding the incident, one local resident said: "Just last year a young lad was hit by a car because he was running across oak lane after he threw a firework.
"This year, someone's going to get seriously injured if these fireworks carry on.
"These lads are aiming them at cars and people. There are children and elderly people walking on Oak Lane. They haven’t got any respect for anyone.
"These kids that are causing a nuisance with fireworks don’t listen to their parents, so how are they going to listen to us or the police?"
Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident.
