Children and young people from across the Bradford District are set to take part in the Takeover Challenge which takes place on Friday 23 November.
The Takeover Challenge was established by the Children’s Commissioner for England and aims to give young people across the district the chance to work with adults and get involved in organisational decision-making.
Young people from across the District will be taking over key roles. Within Bradford Council, they will be taking over the positions of chief executive, deputy directors, policy officers and youth workers, while a police inspector will be giving up his role for the day.
Coun Imran Khan, portfolio holder for education, employment and skills, said: “Takeover Challenge provides a fantastic opportunity for children and young people from our district. It gives them the chance to see how businesses work, to gain experience, have fun and be inspired.
“We’re very grateful to the employers taking part this year. We know from previous years that many organisations see it as a great learning opportunity to find out what young people think about their business. It’s also a great way for businesses to support our Education Covenant.”
