Young people from the Bradford area are set to exhibit their artwork at a prestigious London gallery.
A dozen young artists aged between 14 and 17 who are part of the Saturday Art Club at Bradford College are heading to the capital to join other artists from all over the country at the National Saturday Club Summer Exhibition.
The budding creatives have spent time drawing, painting, animating, printing, making fanzines and using clay to create a range of artworks, the best of which have been selected for the exhibition which is held at Somerset House in London.
Scarlett Rayner, the tutor who leads the sessions, has been delighted by the way that these youngsters from different schools across Bradford have come together as a group, grown in confidence and risen to the various challenges that they have been set.
"This academic year our young artists have spent their Saturday mornings discovering a wide range of art disciplines,” she said.
“The Art club isn't about 'perfection' and getting it 'right', it is about having fun, socialising, making new friends, developing creative skills and building confidence. It has helped students realise a talent they never knew they had. They have all progressed outstandingly in their artwork as well as a boost in confidence and pride.
“It is an excellent opportunity for young people to experience life studying at Bradford College.”
